Music and lyrics by Chris Squire; originally recorded by Yes. A thousand cheers to The Fish for writing a beautiful piece amidst a strikingly sub-par selection of music - 1977's "Tormato".
I decided to make my own arrangement back in the summer of 2008 as part of a series of engineering exercises. I worked on it for a couple days before moving on to other projects. I rediscovered it back in December while digging through my archives and decided to clean up the mix and record a few extra harmony tracks. Since I'm also experimenting with digital animation right now, I integrated the music into something I'd been fidgeting with and they seemed to go together well enough. I filmed a couple takes of me singing along to make it a little less abstract, but it still has a rather...artistic flavor. The animation was built in After Effects, the music composed in Propellerhead Reason, and the vocals recorded in Adobe Audition.
