Ode Osbourne brings to the UFC the first fighter/math teacher combination in professional MMA! “The Jamaican Sensation” is an 8-2 Bantamweight fighting out of Waukesha, Wisconsin, where he also teaches math to fifth and sixth graders. Osbourne says he could never leave his full-time job because the kids do just as much for him, motivating him to be the best 135er.

Ode starting MMA in the amateur ranks but quickly stepped up with the big boys after reeling off five straight wins, 3 by stoppage. Ode then burs out of gates at the pro level, racking 3 finishes, 2 in the first frame.

Ode Osbourne then faced his first taste of adversity losing 2 out of 3 to fall back to 4-2 (1 kneebar, 1 decision loss). “The Jamaican Sensation” then went back to the classroom to learn from his students. Ode came back in 2018 and showed off the lessons learned instantly. He now finds himself on a four-fight finish streak, all in round one, and now is on the doorstep of his UFC debut. Osbourne will aim to make his math students proud on Saturday, January 18th facing Brian Kelleher (19-10) at UFC 246!
