In this video I forge a flint striker used to strike flint and create sparks to light a fire. The technique was first adopted by the Romans, and was used all throughout the middle ages.
The striker is made of 1095 high carbon steel and is also not tempered, to achieve maximum hardness in order to create more sparks.
