At the time, the narrow valley was humming with life: miles of freight trucks snaking through the pass, vibrant mountain communities, and a crucial trade link operating at full capacity.

Looking at this footage today is heartbreaking. Recent catastrophic flooding and landslides have entirely altered this landscape, leaving the border infrastructure, roads, and surrounding villages decimated.

We are sharing this archival footage to honor what was once there and to keep the global focus on the recovery efforts. Countless families, drivers, and local residents have been impacted by this disaster. Our deepest thoughts, prayers, and strength go out to the victims, the families searching for missing loved ones, and everyone affected across the region.
