'Silent Days' is one of the most catchy tracks Vanparys has ever released and the moody lyrics in the verses are cleverly countered by the lighthearted chorus. “But hey I’m not complaining in any way”, he sings and finally there is some light in the darkness. The track’s mesmerizing drum loops are in perfect balance with its rich and deep layers of sound and make “Silent Days” the perfect soundtrack for a drive in your car, alone at night, through neon lit streets, windows open.
Once praised for his angelic voice, Vanparys adapted a much lower register recently. Seductive and composed but never pretentious: “I know at the close of every day I’m just the same as anybody else”
