I’ve put this off posting this for nearly two years because of massive technical difficulties (the laptop on which I produced this completely died, leaving this track “unfinished”) and because the legend himself, @RonnieMartin, is on very active online - talk about intimidating! Regardless, a wise individual once told me that it’s better to have something to show than a perfect project sitting in limbo somewhere, collecting dust.
The original track was record and produced entirely on analog synthesizers, but this note-for-note recreation was done entirely inside of FL Studio using a plethora of custom synth plugins and a lot of ear-equity. Ronnie, thank you for the inspiration! In honor of your new album coming this month, you’ve motivated me to post what I’ve got.
