Both the upper and bottom doorskins pass through a glue spreader applying the glue only on the bottom side. The core panels (particleboards previously stapled with solid wood frame) are stacked on top of a scissors lift and fed by a pushing arm. The bottom doorskin is flipped upside down and moves to the lay-up station. The core is then picked up by a gantry device and positioned on top of the bottom skin.
The upper doorskin is moved forward, lifted by a rail support, and consequently laid down on top of the previously positioned core. The composed sandwich is then forwarded into the press.
