Описание: An accessory lobe on the placenta: what is it, and what does it mean for the pregnancy? An accessory lobe is an extra lobe that develops on a placenta. It is also called a succenturiate placenta.

In this video, Nurse Sarah gives a quick overview of this type of placenta, her experience in having one, as well as what it means for the pregnancy. One of the possible complications is that if the extra lobe is not fully removed during birth, it can lead to issues such as bleeding.

Nurse Sarah filmed this video while she was still pregnant. She ultimately had a c-sectiond due to her baby being breech, and thankfully, all of the placenta was removed without problems or complications.
