In this video my friends and I install a Y38 (4.1 Torsen) diff from a Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ.
The install is pretty straight forward, the only requirements are that you have the 86 front diff mount bolts as the original JZX110 diff mount bolts have a tapered end. This unfortunately does not fit the mount hole design of the Y38 diff from the 86. The thread and pitch are identical, as is the rest of the diff. You will also need to swap over the stub axels from the JZX110 diff to the 86 diff.
I used a penrite GL-5 75w-80 gear oil as per 86 specifications.
