Here we go again with another forgotten instrument picked up off the Facelist website. This set of shells looked like they have been left in a daycare playroom for many years then tucked into a shed loft because that’s exactly what happened to them. They’re not a very expensive set but worth saving. So instead of doing the right thing and stripping these things all the way down to the wood shell I am going to strip hardware and wrap the existing cover with some permanent vinyl. I’ve done a bit of vinyl work but never a set of drums. Follow along as I figure out this process as I go.
