In early February, 2026, we experienced freezing winter temperatures not seen in Satellite Beach, FL since 1989. In the early morning hours, our temperature dropped to 27 degrees F with winds between 10 – 20 mph. Many tropical plants were damaged, and some were killed. In this video, my wife gives us a tour of casualties and survivors of that bitter cold night and sets expectations for what to expect of your plants if you live in Melbourne, FL or Brevard County.
