We took a trip from Gizo town to Epaga Island on a 6 minute boat ride to gauge our understanding on seaweed farming. A very experienced seaweed farmer by the name of Paul Belande briefed us how the seaweed was brought to the island in the first place, and how people started to reap the benefits by farming it. In this video, Paul also explained the process of setting up seaweed planting materials on string loops (usually 15, 20 & 30 meter lengths) and the cost of selling the dried product.
