A ballistics gel and pattern test of the BOSS Legacy Copper Plated Bismuth #3/5 shot vs. the #4 shot. The #3/5 shot is loaded with a mix of #3 pellets and #5 pellets giving it a blend of high pattern density and high penetration for people hunting both ducks and geese at the same time. It is talked about as an purpose or hybrid shotgun ammunition for waterfowl hunting. I did this ammo test and review to see how each shell performed, and which is better.

In this video I test:
• BOSS (Copper Plated Bismuth) #4 shot, 3", 1.5oz (210 pellets), 1350 FPS
• BOSS (Copper Plated Bismuth) #3/5 shot, 3", 1.5oz (227 pellets), 1350 FPS
I did the range test at 40 yards at a certified shooting range with proper safety precautions. I used 10% FBI Ballistics Gel. Both loads performed great and could be used interchangeably for most types of hunting, but the #3/5 does have some interesting performance. I used the Mossberg 940 Pro Waterfowl with the Carlsons Bismuth Bone Buster choke tube. BOSS gave me some of the shells tested in this video, Carlson's gave me the choke tube, and Mossberg gave me the shotgun.
