I was in the studio this week, working on a project for a guy in NY. This is a sampling of some of the solo drum tracks I laid down. The recording was done at Steve Albini's Electrical Audio in Chicago. Basically I played drum grooves for each song by memory , without a click or play along reference. The composer is based in NY and because of Covid, he decided this would be the best way to get the drum tracks done. It was really fun and challenging to work this way, visualizing the songs, working on sections at a time. Thanks to EA for such a great drum sound...this is just my Zoom camera audio, but you can hear what a great room this is for recording drums. It's really outstanding.
