Описание: A quiet and pleasant weekend start across Rowan County will give way to a much more active weather pattern late Sunday into Monday. In this forecast update, I break down the timing of incoming showers and storms, the potential for strong winds, and the sharp temperature drop expected early next week.

Sunday will start fairly mild with increasing clouds, but rain chances return during the afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms become more likely Sunday night and continue into Monday as a strong cold front moves through the Carolinas. Some storms could produce damaging wind gusts and isolated tornadoes, so it’s a good time to review your severe weather safety plans.

Behind the front, much colder air moves in quickly. Temperatures will fall below freezing Monday night and again Tuesday night, with highs struggling to reach the 40s during the middle of the week.
