This Changes Everything- The Fermat Automated Tool Crib is a game changer. The German engineered and built automotive grade robot tends the 105 station tool crib.
The Kuka robot is a masterful mover with a double armed tool changer that is prepared to deliver and load tools up to 60 kg, it is ideal for the implementation of the FERMAT 105 station Automated tool crib. 105 static tool pockets and an amazingly long service interval for the kuka robot increase productivity and decrease maintenance issues.
Fermat's WFT 13R table-type CNC horizontal boring mill is designed for rough machining and high-quality surface finishes.
XYZ travels measure 177" × 98" × 59" (4,500 × 2,500 × 1,500 mm). A 50-hp FANUC spindle motor powers the 5" spindle, with a two-speed gearbox for increased spindle speeds and maximum metal removal during heavy machining operations. All major components use stress-relieved castings, and all functional surfaces are hardened as one piece to 56 HRC. Further supporting rigidity and stable positioning are the oil-cooled pillow block bearing housings which support the substantial 80mm ball screws.
The machine uses a rotary table on a cross roller taper bearing, and the design includes two planetary gearboxes, two servomotors and two master/slave pinions for accurate positioning. This arrangement prevents backlash, limits static friction problems and enables continuous B-axis machining.
Optional accessories such as a through the spindle coolant, milling heads and a variety of automation equipment further assist the WFT 13 improve efficiency and streamline machining processes.
