Environmental regulations geared toward improving air quality and reducing emissions have impacted the flare oil and gas industry. For advanced diagnostics, these models offer the CAL-V™ calibration validation test feature to verify the meter still retains its original NIST-traceable calibration. When used with the free FT View™ software, a calibration validation certificate can be produced recording the results of the test.

Gas Composition Changes
Additionally, these three models have a Gas-SelectX® tool for applications where a gas composition is expected to change over time. Gas-SelectX® has gas menus that allow the user to choose from a list of pure gases or create a custom gas mix (varies by model, see Fox Thermal website for lists of available gases by model). In flare applications, many users find this feature to be useful as methane composition in flared gases is known to vary.
