01:29 Koirakoski ends and the Summer flowers of the cameraman's house at Sonkajärvi starts.
I assume this film was shot slightly later than the two (1978/19xx) Kodachrome films as, at first (during the first about 20 rolls spanning about 5-6 years), the cameraman tended to shoot exclusively on Kodachrome and only later started to use Agfa from time to time. Note that this (/2) film is shot right after the previous (/1) one at • 8mm scan: ~1982: Winter landscape, Sonkajä...
According to “Kyläkirja – Närelenkki”, 1999, ISBN 952-91-1617-9 (see the dedicated page at https://www.flickr.com/photos/3344835... ), the best contestant at these events were Tauno Tuhkanen, Martti Eronen and Jaakko Saaristo those times. I don't know which of them has been filmed.
Please see the two Flick albums at https://www.flickr.com/photos/3344835... (iPhone) / https://www.flickr.com/photos/3344835... (Sigma DP2M) to see how the Koirakoski area looks like now. Note that these photos have all been shot after a particularly dry July resulting in the level of the water being particularly low. The original film depicts a much higher water level - as is normally the case when logs were indeed transferred in the Springs, on Finnish rivers.
The film, unfortunately, is an Agfa (and not Kodachrome) - hence the bluish tint, low resolution and flat colors compared to, for example, the two (1978/19xx) Kodachrome films mentioned above. I did try shifting the color temperature towards warmer colors to counteract the strong blue tint; this is why whites have became yellowish.
