The 2026 Nio ES8 enters its third generation as a larger, more advanced all-electric luxury SUV. Built on Nio’s NT 3.0 platform with a new 900-volt high-voltage architecture, it delivers cutting-edge charging speeds and performance enhancements. Power comes from a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup producing 520 kW (697 hp) and 700 Nm of torque, enabling 0–100 km/h acceleration in just 3.97 seconds and a top speed of 220 km/h. Supporting its performance is the PrimeRide Smart Chassis with dual-chamber air suspension and advanced multi-link setups, ensuring both comfort and agility on the road.

The ES8 is powered by a standard 102 kWh ternary lithium battery that offers a 635 km CLTC range, with additional options ranging from a 75 kWh pack for urban use to a 150 kWh solid-state battery capable of up to 900 km. Thanks to its 900V architecture, the SUV supports ultra-fast charging, with Nio claiming that just five minutes of charging can restore up to 250 km of range. Battery packs remain fully swappable at Nio Power Swap stations, further enhancing convenience. Dimensions have also grown, with the SUV now measuring 5,280 mm in length, 2,010 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, riding on a long 3,130 mm wheelbase. Its sleek exterior combines a shark-nose front, distinctive double-dash daytime running lights, and a full-width LED taillight bar, achieving a low drag coefficient of 0.259.

Inside, the ES8 blends high-tech luxury with flexibility, offering six- or seven-seat layouts. The futuristic cockpit features a 15.6-inch OLED center screen, a 48-inch Skyline display spanning the dashboard, and a 38-inch AR-HUD for immersive driving assistance. Rear passengers benefit from a 21.4-inch mini-LED screen with Dolby Vision, while a premium 27-speaker, 2,600W audio system with Dolby Atmos elevates entertainment. Comfort-focused amenities include Nappa leather upholstery, zero-gravity massage seats, a smart-dimming panoramic roof, and even a climate-controlled fridge. Practicality is equally impressive, with 547 liters of rear cargo space expandable to 3,230 liters, plus a 230-liter front trunk for additional storage.
