The Underpass is yet another anomaly-hunting game that, unfortunately, fails to impress in any meaningful way.
Somewhere between the extremely limited and empty environment, the dull gray visuals, and the bland—at times even annoying—anomalies, my interest faded quickly, despite the fact that I genuinely enjoy this genre.
There are no jump scares. There are no clever anomalies that actually reward careful observation. And most importantly, there’s no tension. No sense of unease. No thrill.
In other words, I can’t really recommend The Underpass, unless you’ve already played every other anomaly-hunting game out there and are simply desperate for more.
