Thrilled to release a new chapter in the heavy metal sci-fi fantasy adventures of my avatar Evilove! In this episode, you are invited to embark on a symphonic metal instrumental epic interweaved with audiobook excerpts and accompanied by a splendidly campy sci-fi fantasy short story. This segment in the psychonautical journeys of Evilove has our interdimensional sojourner confronting his nemesis, the Emperor of the Void: a twisted tyrant who reigns over a voracious black hole inside his ego, determined to consume and destroy the totality of the universe on his path to omnipotence.


Channeling the magic of my artistic higher-self Evilove, I have carefully crafted this song as a form of instrumental storytelling. This track offers a features excerpts from the book "Warrior, King, Magician, Lover" about the maturation process of the masculine ego and shadow-self.


Inspired by Carl Jung’s concept of the shadow-king archetype within the masculine psyche - a personality akin to virtue-signaling narcissism - the concept of this song is meant to highlight the dangers of pathological personality expressions and unchecked ego, hubris, power, and greed within any human. I invite you to indulge in my accompanying short story (in the comments section) prior to the track, and allow it to sift into the journey that the music takes you on.


Each section of the song has been meticulously and intentionally developed to progress a plotline whereby the Emperor of the Void increasingly builds his ego's fiendish power and malevolence. Just when he believes he has quenched his thirst for ultimate omnipotence, Evilove confronts him with the stark reality that his violent onslaught has left him radically isolated, alone, and disconnected from the universe around him. And under the immense power of his ever-growing black-hole ego, he becomes crushed by his own weight, sucked into the infinite oblivion of his own manifestation. The shadow king reaps what he's sown, and in his place, a spark of light and glimmer of hope.


While this tale may present as macabre or discouraging, there is a meaningful subtext that I hope to convey through it. The themes may be taken as warning against the trap of selfishness and greed, and simultaneously, a call to break the cycles of pain within ourselves. Much like the black hole void within the Emperor’s barren self, pain which is not properly addressed or processed may fester and spread like a contagion onto others, with ulterior motivations to destroy rather than create. As the saying goes, hurt people hurt people. Moreover, as a compensation for a lack of self-empowerment, deeply internalised and suppressed pain may develop into twisted personality structures which seek to control and undermine others, e.g., narcissism. And though these deep-seated pains long for company and love, if given too much authority they will only serve to divide the sufferer from these true needs. As such, let this be an inspiration to pursue the healing of our own wounds, and more importantly, to help dissolve the pain within others. I believe that we all possess great influence upon one another through the power of radical acceptance and compassion-based action. And it wouldn't be an Evilove tale if it didn't land on the grandest lesson of them all: love is the answer.


True power comes from empowering others, not seeking power over others.
