When Ekoa invited me to remix Mother Whale, I knew it would be a challenge. The original is an ambient piece, deep, spacious and without a defined rhythm.
Since the name Mother Whale represents the ocean, I started thinking about the connection between Portugal and Brazil. I imagined the first encounters between the Portuguese and the indigenous people, two cultures meeting for the first time •• 🧜🏻♂️🧜🏻♀️
With that idea in mind, I built a groove that brings movement and energy while staying true to the essence of the song 🌅
