We've been having EPIC fishing on our 3/4 Ext Days for the past three weeks off the coast or Orange County, CA! We have no idea when this hot bite will end, but anticipate the fish to continue to stick around for a few more weeks through the end of Summer. Dorado are one of the fastest growing fish in the oceans, and can spawn every two to three days at the early age of four to five months old. A female releases an average of 50,000 eggs each time they spawn. Amazingly, dordado can grow an estimated 0.5 -1.0 inch in length per week while gaining two to three pounds per month. So they get big very quickly! They are being seen along the coast of California this year in such abundance, it's estimated that there are likely millions of dorado schooling offshore.
