Описание: What can I say, Toto are my absolute favourite band (Queen are my number 1 absolute favourite band, then Toto), and I've already covered a version of Africa in my previous album. When I approach sequencing and recording any Toto song, I really listen to the background nuances, because the foreground is heard pretty clear, but it's the background that makes up and completes each and every song that Toto have written. Back when I first heard this song in 1982 (song was released in 1978) with my dad's Toto cassette, I loved the piano parts to this song, but it took me a while to work out each note that David Paich was playing in the intro, choruses and solo, as he wasn't just playing the root chord structure, he broke it up into 7ths, 6ths and 5ths and once I got a grasp on the way he was playing each of the chords I still had to put it all together. But all of that working out and practicing, I can only hope that I've done some justice to this awesome song in this later part of my life. I hope you enjoy listening to Hold the Line by Toto, like I have.
