I wish you success in cheap rv living. My series will provide you financial safety living comfortably on the road. Give yourself the best life - make memories, see great things, comfortably live and travel. I plan to give you 2 videos a week sharing tips on boondocking, solar living, workamping, camphosting, travel, free and cheap camping, dispersed camping, comfortable conservation of water, and give you a way to live a great life like I do. Feel free to contact me to brainstorm your travels.
The words "Workamper" and "camphost" is kind of like the word "dog". There are dozens and dozens of kinds. Each one is different with different requirements.
These jobs can vary so much. Some have pay. Some do not. Some have full hook ups for your RV. Some do not. Some are near well equipped towns and some are hours away from the nearest well stocked grocery store. Some require you clean bathrooms. Some don't. You know what you want to do to be happy in a job - make sure the job is a good fit before you commit to it. This video gives you an idea how to interview your potential employer. This video is part of a series on workamping and volunteer camphost positions.
Workamping is a great lifestyle. I have workamped for the last 3 years and will continue to do it. Before that, I full time rv lived for over 15 years living off and on grid - remote working. This video is to be the first of a workamping series. Another series that is being developed now is a deep dive into living on solar, off grid living, dispersed camping and saving thousands of dollars buying the right equipment and avoiding utility bills.
I have workamped as a volunteer living on the shore of a beautiful lake. I am currently completing a federal independent contractor agreement. I discuss federal, state and local workamping jobs. I discuss paid vs. unpaid jobs. This video gives good general information. I plan to devote individual videos to workamping paid jobs, workamping volunteer dream jobs, and lots of "how to" videos on boondocking (off grid living), dispersed camping, remote jobs, and how to find your best life
These can be great jobs for snowbirds, remote job folks, and rv camping folks who would like to stay in an area for 3 months, 6 months, or maybe a year. Full timers know that winter is the biggest challenge for their boondocking or off grid camping so you could workamp for your winter camping or have a safe warm place rather than dispersed camping.
My videos will be for everyone from the weekend camper to the full time rver. My last rv, a class A motorhome, had a full roof of solar, dual victron inverters and and 20 battleborn lithium 100 amp batteries providing enough energy to run air conditioning in the desert. That was four years ago and now things have changed, Bigger systems are one fourth of the cost, taking one quarter of the time to install, with one tenth of the pieces. It is a great time to boondock.
Disclaimer: The information that I share is based on my own experience. I am not a electrician or rv technician. I am just sharing my personal experiences. These videos are intended for entertainment purposes only and may not be suitable for your unique situation. Please consult a professional or have a professional install/maintain your equipment.
