A little girl who was born with Down Syndrome has taken her first steps thanks to her twin sister. Laura Guilliatt, 32, from Gainsborough, Lincs, gave birth to her twin girls, Freya and Caitlyn, now two, on 29 September 2019 after five years of struggling to conceive and deciding to opt for IVF. After an emergency C-section at 35 weeks pregnant, Freya was born with Down Syndrome and Caitlyn was not, which is thought to be 14 in one million chance with non-identical twins. As the twins got older, Caitlyn began crawling and walking a few months before her twin sister and would constantly encourage and help her to progress. Now, thanks to Caitlyn, Freya is walking alongside her sister.
