Konop, Spider-Man: Lotus takes inspiration from the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy and adapts iconic Spider-Man comic plotlines such as "The Night Gwen Stacy Died", "Goblin's Last Stand" and "The Kid Who Collects Spider-Man". It was a hugely successful crowdfunded Spider-Man fan film that would soon be steeped in controversy due to the lead actor, Warden Wayne, and the writer/director of the film, Gavin J. Konop, being outed for various crude and horrible behind the scenes behaviors.
