Описание: The Lok Sabha has resumed its discussion on the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. What started as a voter roll clean-up initiative has now become a political flashpoint. Congress MP Manish Tewari set the tone, while Rahul Gandhi escalated the confrontation by alleging that the Election Commission is “colluding with the BJP to shape elections”. Senior Congress leaders including KC Venugopal, Varsha Gaikwad, Manish Tewari, Mohammed Javaid and others took part in the discussion, framing SIR as a threat to democratic transparency. The BJP, meanwhile, accused the opposition of undermining institutions.
