Think of energetic relationships, cords, and ties as motorways with two lanes of traffic, one flowing towards you and the other flowing away from you.

The traffic that is going towards you is frequency that has been sent to you by others, and the traffic that is flowing away from you is energy that you have sent out to others.

Chords, links, and bonds have no emotions for you; they merely serve a purpose, transferring frequency (energy) from one sentient person to another, or from one situation to another.
They can work for you (and the other person) when you create a strong connection, generally with long-term friendships or romantic relationships, where this frequency tie means you share Love and you have each other's backs no matter what.

The 'Frequency Freeways' may also operate against you, therefore it's critical to be aware of how to control them.

We are emotional beings by nature, and we continuously attach feelings to the people we meet and the situations we find ourselves in. These either bring happiness or make us unhappy.
Disappointment can drive us to emotionally connect with a person or circumstance, and we unknowingly (since we don't realize what we're doing) create energy connections, ties, or chords with strangers.

We can handle our own emotions and feelings, but what about others?

Every conscious being is sovereign, and there's a lovely irony to this scenario in that, in order to stay karmically neutral, we can't tamper with or control another Soul's emotional reaction in any manner.
Even if the other person has placed attachments, chords, or ties on us, we must always enable people to experience and honor their emotions.
We must stay in the present moment, detach the Ego, and avoid any emotional 'retaliation' (easier said than done sometimes)/ As we progress through this incarnation and lifetime, we should become more aware of these 'Frequency Freeways,' and strive to keep our energy nice, clean, and tidy.
