In this Physics video lecture in Hindi for class 12 we derived the expression for energy stored in a parallel plate capacitor. We did derivation of three formulas.
One, ratio of the square of charge stored to the twice of the capacitance.
Two, half of the product of the square of the potential difference and the capacitance.
Three, half of the product of the charge and the potential difference.
