Quiet izakaya night in Osaka with winter fish, fresh seafood, and year-end drinks.
After work, I visited Tenjinbashisuji 6-chome and wandered through familiar streets, looking for a place to enjoy a calm night at the end of the year.
I found a newly opened izakaya specializing in fresh seafood.
From creamy shirako with ponzu to beautifully prepared sashimi, every dish reflected the season.
The winter fish, including seared mackerel, Kyoto sawara, kanburi, and even a rare freshwater char, were all outstanding.
Later in the night, I enjoyed Saikyo-style grilled yellowtail, a buri-taku roll made with seasonal fish, and a glass of carefully selected sake.
The quiet atmosphere and thoughtful cooking made it a perfect year-end izakaya experience.
