Spinal Osteoporosis - yikes! 😱
Don’t worry, moving and strength training is the VERY best thing you can do for your bones. Here’s your goal with these 4 moves:
✅ Improve your trunk stability, which leads to greater balance throughout your entire body = less fall risk
✅ Stimulate the muscles that connect directly to your spine, which helps promote more bone growth at those attachment sites = improved bone density or at the very least stopping the progression of bone loss.
✅ Increase your core strength, which will allow you to do other strength training and impact activities with less injury risk = better bone density.
The worst thing for your spine is to avoid strength training, especially core work. I would recommend shying away from a lot of twisting and bending-style core exercises (e.g. bicycle crunches, sit-ups, etc.), but these ones here 👆 are great!
