The cruel 45-second clip was uploaded on to YouTube and shows one of the men - egged on by his pal - creep up behind the victim before shoving him (inset) into the water at Swanswell Pool, Coventry. The victim landed in the water head-first, with his legs flying into the air (pictured). Another man filming the 'assault' then laughs uncontrollably as the drenched fisherman - who was setting up his rod when he was attacked from behind - struggles to climb back out of the pond's cold water. Police today confirmed they were investigating the footage after the local community rallied round to help bring those responsible to justice.
