How to use the TODAY function in Excel

Описание: The TODAY function returns the current date and is updated automatically when you open an Excel file. The TODAY function has no arguments. In this video, I'll use the TODAY function in an accounting exercise using Accounts Receivable. You would use the same for Accounts Payable. I also use Absolute reference with Net 30 terms. The TODAY function would be used for HR if you are trying to calculate years of service for your employees.

Examples of the TODAY function
=TODAY() returns the current date
=TODAY()+5 returns 5 days from today
=TODAY()-2 returns 2 days in the past
