– GAME OVERVIEW –

The Amazing Spider-Man: Lethal Foes for the Super Famicom is a side-scrolling beat 'em up/platformer. It was developed by Agenda and published by Epoch Co. The game was released in Japan on March 17, 1995.

• The Amazing Spider-Man: Lethal Foes features the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man.
◦ Throughout the game, Spider-Man fights a number of his old foes, including Venom, Doctor Octopus and Carnage. In addition, allies such as Human Torch and Iron Fist appear in cutscenes between parts.

• In The Amazing Spider-Man: Lethal Foes, the government's artificial wave generator has been stolen by the mad scientist Doctor Octopus and his associates. When Spider-Man learns of the incident, he sets out to thwart the Doctor's ambitions.
◦ The game's name seems to have been inspired by the 1993 limited series The Lethal Foes of Spider-Man, although the plot does not resemble that of the comic book except for the inclusion of several Spider-Man super villains.
