This is part 3 of 3 part series we're doing with InRange regarding the Underground Railroad.
The Underground Railroad was a very thoroughly well thought out system used to smuggle refugee slaves from the slave states through the "Free States" to Canada.
In this episode we were provided a very thorough tour of the Levi and Catherine Coffin house. Levi and Catherine were Quakers who quite literally put their lives and livelihood on the line by building a custom house designed as a depot for the smuggling of refugees through the Underground Railroad. They took another approach towards rebellion - hiding in plain sight.
While this is not technically an Old West Vignette, it certainly falls into the category of the sort of history we attempt to bring to InRangeTV.
