Your car is not starting even if the lights come on because of a low battery, blown fuse or a broken starter. To fix these;
Check your battery
Even if your lights are on, do not rule out the possibility of a dead battery. This is because car lights can run on amperage as low as 20 while the engine requires at least 300 amps. To fix this,
● Locate your battery.
● Test the battery using a hydrometer and if it tests low, jump start using another battery or charge it.
● After charging check whether the car is starting.

If it is not,
Check your fuse
● Turn off the power in the vehicle.
● Using your manual locate your fuse box and open it.
● Inspect the metal wire inside the fuse and if it is damaged replace it.
● Check whether the car is starting.

If the fuse is fine,
Check the starter motor
A faulty starter motor can be identified if it makes a clicking sound after you turn your key in your ignition switch. However, this may not be accurate since some starters malfunction even if they are not noisy. Another sign that may indicate a faulty starter is smoke from the engine.

If you suspect you have a broken starter, you should contact a professional mechanic for further assistance.
