Описание: In #Iraq, it is common for #Shia clerics to hold public rallies to curse the Companions of the Prophet Muhammed (PBUH), seen as a way to humiliate the #Sunni population, whether #Arabs or #Kurds. This cleric, Jawad Hassan al-Ibrahimi, was investigated by the Shia-dominated interior ministry in March 2023 but was subsequently released without suffering any consequences for his sectarian hate speech. However, Iraqi police have been known to brutally beat Sunnis who tear down posters of #Iran's Qassem Soleimani.
