Snow removal isn't a complicated task, but to help operators elevate their skillset we're sharing a few of our best snow plowing tips with you to help increase your productivity. KAGE Innovation manufactures commercial grade snow plows for Skidsteers, Loaders, Tractors and more.
In this case, planning a plowing sequence in advance allows the snow removal experts to accommodate a 4-foot wide median, trash can obstacles, narrow drive lanes and limited snow storage.
Plowing will take place using a Kage plow system on a John Deere 326E skid steer.
Here he starts with plowing the narrow drive lane first, windrowing away from the median - toward the curb with a blade only. He then put the Kage box on the blade to plow the wider section of the lot - still windrowing, but while power angling the box instead of just the blade. This reduces dribbles.
For deeper snow, you'll need to hog the bulk of the snow first.
Avoid handling the same snow more than once, or stacking snow on medians.
