Teaching the Election
How do teachers handle the necessity to engage with important current events while keeping the peace in their classrooms?
49% of the world’s population lives in countries holding national elections in 2024, including the United States where election season is in full swing. This webinar, featuring panelists from NEASC-Accredited schools, will focus on civics education, specifically surrounding consequential elections, and concrete ideas and strategies for navigating sensitive topics, misinformation, and ideological divides, to prepare young people to be engaged, empathetic, and informed participants in their communities.
