SSCAFF 2018 - Satrangi 7 Colors Arts & Film Festival (23rd-29th June) is an Indigenous, Indian & Cross-Cultural festival of performing arts and creative arts in Australia which include 7 Arts - Film, Fashion, Music, Dance, Locations, Literature & Instruments from all Acting, Performances, Comedy, Drama Schools, Clubs, Artists and Community organizations to showcase their extraordinary talent to the public while encouraging the participation of the whole community in celebrating and valuing cultural diversity via promoting multiculturalism.
On its closing day, please watch this Film Panel Discussion about "Representation of Marginalized in Cinema" from our Australian Film, TV & Media Panellists: VMC Commissioner Rosaria Zarro, Prof Dirk De Bruyn, Prof John Cumming, Dr Martin Potter, Dr. Vikrant Kishore, Daniel Schultheis, Matthew Victor Pastor, and professionals Dr. Pallavi Sharma, Shejuti Hossain, Sidhaarth Banerjee, Vamshidhar Parepalli, Kauthar Abdulalim, Vishal Kashyap and others.
Above Panel Discussion was beautifully moderated by Actor, Model & Activist Preeti Daga Raizada and SSCAFF Film Festival Director Nawal (Noel) Moudgil.
In this 6th consecutive Year of SSCAFF, SKGA presented more than 100 performers, 10 films, 3 SSCAFF Awards, held One Film Panel discussion and promoted 7 Arts due to the help of dozens of volunteers. and recorded attendance of 1000 plus people including 6 MP, Mayors, VMC Councillors, and participation from following countries and cultures: Indian, Greek, Samoan, Mauritius, Afghan, German, Filipino, Indigenous Australian, Pakistani, French, Bangladeshi, Netherlands, Sudanese, Cambodian, Israel, Croatian, Egyptian and Srilankan communities.
SSCAFF festival was started on the first passing anniversary of Late Yash ji (Filmmaker Yash Raj Chopra) in October 2013 with a One Hour program, which in 2018 has grown to a One Week long presentation including Indigenous, Indian & Multi-Cultural artists, performers and filmmakers at 6 locations.
Prof Simon Wilmot received Yash Chopra SSCAFF Award 2018 for his ‘Contribution to Film & Arts in Multicultural Australia’, was presented by MP Inga Peulich and Ms Rosaria Zarro on the Closing Day of the festival.
