Using this knowledge (and about an hour of creating a score table to use for reference to know what timer values to exit floors on), I am able to manipulate Forks to appear way more often, which benefits the run in three ways:
A) Clearing enemies can rely less on switching weapons. For example, on Box 3, instead of having to switch to a Wheel and back to a Pin for the Cars and Domdoms, I can use a Fork to take care of the Cars and keep the Pin without needing to switch. This isn't always possible, but it can reduce the workload by a lot.
2) It's possible/easier to get perfect clears on way more floors, particularly those that have certain enemies without the weapons to kill them, since a Fork can instead be used.
D) It's easier to boost your score by a lot. The possible scores from killing enemies range from 10 (Heitai) to 50 (Domdoms) (note that these values are doubled with a star or whirlwind, but that's still 100 at best). Using a Fork allows you to collect the cakes that spawn for 300 points each, meaning you can get up to 1500 points, which adds up a lot. Not only is this great for scoring in general, but it helps with reaching extra life thresholds earlier, making it possible to rack up more lives for later parts of the game.

This actually isn't my best run. While testing out Fork manipulation, I was able to get a run with an astounding 156k, but I wasn't recording. I'd love to shoot for 150k on video, but how long that takes is highly up for question, especially since not only do I have to rely on Forks, but I also need 5/5 Mahou kills, abuse of multiple gem boxes (which I couldn't do much of in this run), and a couple more perfect clears, and getting all of that to align seems daunting. I've done it before, though, so I could probably do it again.
