Short two night stay at Ruth B. Gilchrist State Park just outside of High Springs, Florida ... last time here was about three years ago ... only a few small changes over those three years and, IMO, the RV section of the park needs a few upgrades ... this is a beautiful park with a nice hiking trail and the clear blue spring, but most of the camping sites are pretty un-level ... we did a short kayak trip up the spring run to the Santa Fe River then upstream ... lots of turtles, a few gators and two large turkeys seen ...
This SP is located near O'Leno State Park ... and I think most campers will travel there to dump their tanks ... as there is no dump site at Gilchrist ...
