Bear Encounter!! Yosemite May 2018

We were walking along one of the river tracks that runs through Yosemite valley, filming and taking photos.
There were just a few people on the track, which was great because the rest of the park was crowded with visitors and tourists.
After walking deep into the forest, we spotted a ridge, high above the river track. It looked like a great spot to get better photos of the surrounding mountains.
So, we headed up to the ridge, the views were fantastic.
Suddenly, we felt like someone or something was watching us.
We talked about the times we had heard stories about people being attacked by bears - in the national parks - we saw the signs and the warnings - not knowing what to do if we saw one - we quickly decided to head back to the river track.
When we got back to the river we found a group people on the track. We felt safe.
Suddenly, a large brown bear appeared from the same path we had just walked down.
We watched the bear in silence. We were scared and a bit excited. We had never seen a bear in the wild before.
When the bear approached us - we retreated, not knowing what would happen, when suddenly a couple who were walking their dog appeared and scared the bear, and it ran back up the ridge.
