Описание: On March 03, Holy Mother Church observes Tuesday Feria After the Second Sunday of Lent in the Traditional Latin Mass. The sacred liturgy recalls the prophet Elias and the widow of Sarepta (3 Kings 17:8–16), revealing how Israel’s rejection opened the way for the calling of the Gentiles. While many in Israel remained obstinate, a poor Gentile widow received the prophet in humble faith, prefiguring the nations who would accept Christ, the Living Bread of the Cross.

In the Gospel (Matthew 23:1–12), Our Lord warns against pride and hypocrisy, teaching that true greatness lies in humility: “He that shall humble himself shall be exalted.” Lent calls us to reject spiritual pride and to seek the face of the Lord with sincere hearts. As the Introit prays, “Your face, O Lord, I seek; hide not Your face from me.”

Through repentance, humility, and trust in divine mercy, we are invited to remain in the saving light of Christ.
