Fallen Trees? Do THIS First

After the ice storm, our property was left with downed pine trees, broken limbs, and a whole lot of cleanup ahead of us. Like many others, we could’ve seen it all as nothing but damage — but instead, we chose to look at it as an opportunity.
In this video, we walk through the real aftermath of the storm, show how we safely cut up fallen trees, and talk through the chainsaws, knives, and tools we used to get the job done. We also share why we didn’t just haul everything away — especially the pine needles — and some of the practical, old-fashioned ways they can still be useful.
This isn’t a how-to for building projects or milling lumber — it’s a realistic look at storm cleanup, working with what you have, and stewarding the land well after unexpected loss.
If you’re dealing with storm damage too, you’re not alone. We hope this encourages you to slow down, stay safe, and maybe see what’s left behind in a different way.
