Every now and then, you must have thought about going on an adventure to the outdoors and feeling a truly wild situation without hearing the noise of the city. Just imagine that things don't go according to plan and you get lost in the forest. With limited physical conditions and equipment, can you survive? No need to be grandiose, can you spend a night in the wild?

3 Survival Skills You Must Master To Survive In The Wild
Skill 1
Finding a Safe Overnight Location
You must find a dry place that is not lower than the surrounding ground level. Avoid valleys and areas that can be drained of water because floods can come at any time. Choose a place away from insect nests or rotting trees. In addition, use a land that is not sloping, because with a sloping field, if it rains, water will flow to your campsite.

Skill 2
Establishing an Emergency Shelter/Bivoc
When you have to survive in the forest, find or make a shelter. This is very necessary to deal with the effects of weather, dangerous animals or terrain conditions, so that rest needs are met safely. Making a shelter must be adjusted to the number of survivors, existing tools or equipment, the facilities provided by nature and how long they want to survive in that location.
Keep in mind, hypothermia is a major killer if you are stranded in cold weather areas such as mountains. To be safe, you need an isolated shelter to keep your body temperature warm.
You can use anything in nature as a shelter/bivouac, such as caves, tree holes and crevices in large rocks. You can even make your own shelter with materials from nature, such as leaves or twigs.
The trick, first find some tree branches that are strong enough to be arranged as a shelter. Use a standing tree as a support. Cover your shelter with leaves or twigs. Don't forget, also cover the floor with wider leaves. That is to prevent your body heat from being absorbed by the soil. Second, make sure the door from your shelter is not facing the wind, because this is a dangerous thing, especially when it rains.

2. Shelter / bivouac from nature

Skill 3
Lighting a Fire
When you're out in the wild when it's getting late, it's best to light a fire. Fire is useful for lighting, increasing psychological spirits, cooking food and drinks, warming the body, driving away wild animals and making signs/codes.
You can light a fire with a match. Even if you don't have one, you can make your own fire using batteries. Any type of battery can do it, you just need to make the current short. Connect the (+) and (-) poles of the battery with foil (from cigarette packs or chewing gum). Sparks will be created into bundles made of dry, soft objects such as roots, grass, or cloth. Keep your fire burning. Prepare firewood.
If you don't have batteries, you can start a fire with stones and scraping wood. twig. Don't forget, also cover the floor with wider leaves. That is to prevent your body heat from being absorbed by the soil.
