Episode 6 of the ADE season, filmed at JEKKAH Amsterdam introduces 808 BANTOU!

808 Bantou (Eric Mbuyamba) is a Belgian-Congolese DJ, producer, radio host, and cultural curator. Passionate about Afro-electronic sounds, he developed the concept of African Space Ancestral – a fusion of Bantou rhythmic heritage with futuristic electronic textures.

His style blends Afro House, 3-Step, Soulful House, and Afro Tech, always marked by a spiritual and introspective dimension. After releasing several beat tapes, remixes, and live performances, in
2025 he unveiled his EP INTR0V3RT: a 7-track journey into inner worlds, balancing hypnotic grooves with intimate pieces.

At the same time, 808 Bantou has become a key figure in the Brussels scene. As a curator and journalist for ATL Brussels, he runs the ATL Deep column, dedicated to emerging Afro-house, and publishes interviews and features on cutting-edge electronic aesthetics. His long-standing role as a radio programmer and host at @radiopanikbru has allowed him to introduce audiences to a wide range of global sounds and artists.

On stage, he has performed alongside international names such as @bunxapa , @vigrodeep_za , @houseofyanos , @catu_diosis , @djsatelite , Lefto, and @soulection and played in emblematic venues and festivals (@spiritobrussels , @massai.club , Bar du Matin, Café Flora, Tope). With projects like Hybrid Session and African Space Ancestral, he creates events where music, dance, and culture merge.

Today, 808 Bantou stands out as a rising figure who bridges heritage and futurism, Africa and Europe, spirituality and club culture.
