here goes my second attempt at making a music box track. this time i chose to try it with the track for the goat of all time, gerson. this one sounds even more steel drummy than the one before it which is whatever, i still think it sounds really nice.
an eagle eyed observer might notice that the video and the audio are slowing down over time. i mentioned before that i used to think that music boxes winding down and stopping was the worst part of them, but now i see that it's part of what makes their melodies special. the way they slow, playing their melodies up until they have nothing left to give, it felt like the right thing to do for a character like that. i enjoy the way it sounds too, so who knows, maybe i'll come back to it as a creative exercise.
