In 2012, The Expedition Project embarked on a year-long trip around South Africa.
The purpose was to map out the shape of the country visiting as many towns and communities as possible along the way and in doing so, identify conservation and community projects supporting those communities.
The mammoth road trip was made possible thanks to 176 accommodation establishments that opened their doors along the route.
The following footage puts you in the driver's seat following our route as we pass through 192 towns in 7 provinces, travelling over 30,000 kilometres.
